Welcome to Bursledon Church of England Infant School. My name is Nai Pinniger, and I am honoured to be the Head of School.

As a three‑form entry Infant School for children in Years R, 1 and 2, we are proud to offer a nurturing and inspiring start to each child’s learning journey. As part of the Bursledon Federation, we work closely with our Junior School to ensure children experience a consistent, connected learning journey, while still celebrating the uniquely special nature of the Infant phase—and it is a privilege to lead a team so dedicated to making these early years joyful, secure and full of possibility.

Guided by our Christian values of Love, Respect and Aspire, we create a calm, inclusive environment where every child feels known, supported and encouraged. Through high‑quality teaching, purposeful play and rich learning experiences, we build strong foundations in early language, reading, communication and confidence.

We know children thrive when home and school work together. We build close relationships with parents, carers and local early years settings to ensure positive transitions and a strong start for every child. Our federation structure also supports a smooth journey into Key Stage 2, with shared routines and values easing the move to the Junior School.
