History in Year 6
In Year 6, we explore key historical periods to deepen our understanding of past civilisations and their impact on the world today. Our studies include World War II, Ancient Greece, and Early Islamic Civilisation.
As part of our work on Ancient Greece, we focus on Greek life, culture, and significant achievements, examining how these have influenced the western world. We also learn about a non‑European society that provides a strong contrast with British history, studying the early Islamic civilisation and its remarkable contributions to our world.
